Truckers Parade Against Cancer

This is a video by WTVR news that goes more in-depth about our mission and why we do what we do.

Check out this short video to get a general idea of what the Truckers Parade is all about!

(This video is from 2019, so we have raised much more since then!)

  • Named the 2024 Nationwide Team of the Year by the American Cancer Society
    • Check out more information about this award here
  • Raising over $2 million for the American Cancer Society (funds which are designated purely for research)
  • Due to high performance, TPAC has been able to choose two research projects to fund via the American Cancer Society. Those projects include:
    • A study at Duke University on virus-triggered cancer
    • A study at the University of Alabama Birmingham on pancreatic cancer
  • Consistently hosting annual parades that feature more than 200 trucks and 300 banners

The idea of the Trucker's Parade Against Cancer (TPAC) was brought to life in the fall of 2000 and has been steadily growing ever since. This is not your typical small town Christmas parade. In this parade, over 200 trucks each carry at least one banner in memory or in honor of a loved one that have fought the battle against cancer. Hundreds of people line the streets to show their support and cheer as the parade travels through four towns within Charlotte County, VA.

This group of truckers, sponsors, TPAC team members, and volunteers are a one-of-a-kind group of people. They are determined to support survivors who have overcome this disease or who are currently battling, and they ensure and that the memory of the loved ones lost to cancer will not be forgotten.

To date, TPAC has raised over $2 million for cancer research, and we’re not stopping until there’s a cure. Join us for our next parade in October of 2026!
